In March 2024, the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway extended from Senri-Chuo to Minoh-Kayano. Two new stations were added: Minoh-Funaba-Handaimae and Minoh-Kayano. A newly opened section, so it’s a riding target.

Minoh-Kayano Station

Minoh is known as an upscale residential and commuter area a bit outside central Osaka. Minoh Q’s Mall previously relied primarily on car access, but the Kita-Osaka Kyuko extension now provides a direct rail connection from central Osaka.

The terminus, Minoh-Kayano Station, is an elevated station. I shopped at Minoh Q’s Mall, which is directly connected to the station.

From Minoh-Kayano to Osaka Airport

After riding the extension, there are several options besides simply retracing the route.

This time, I took a Hankyu Bus from Minoh-Kayano Station to Minoh Station. The bus ride is surprisingly quick. From Minoh, I connected via Hankyu Minoh Line, Takarazuka Line, and Osaka Monorail to Osaka Airport.

Another option is to take a Hankyu Bus from Minoh-Kayano to Senri-Chuo, then the Osaka Monorail to Osaka Airport.
